Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary on Wimbledon.

On the court the tennis players Lukas Rosol and Rafael Nadal were battling it out sweating, determined and aggressive, while in the royal box a whole other sceneria was unfolding as Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary seized the chance to cuddle up and enjoy each other’s company on two of the best seats at Wimbledon.

Prince Carl Philip's engagement to Sofia Hellqvist.

"I have the incredible honour of being engaged to this fantastic girl," an excited Carl Philip told the waiting journalists, while Sofia added "Carl Philip is the most humble person I have ever met, which is what made me fall for him in the beginning. He has one of the most beautiful hearts, he is very warm."
The Swedish Court announced the engagement between Prince Carl Philip and Miss Sofia Hellqvist shortly before the couple gave a press conference.
The Marshal of the Realm is today pleased to announce the engagement between Prince Carl Philip and Miss Sofia Hellqvist. After H. M. The King gave his consent to Prince Carl Philip to marry MissSofia Hellqvist, HM The king, in accordance with the Constitutional provisionsobtaining government consent. Date for the wedding has not yet been identified, but is scheduled to take place during the summer of 2015.
Prince Carl Philip proposed this morning on the couple's summer home. 
I was surprised and so clearly said yes. It feels really good and just right that, finally, we become a team. said a glowing Sofia Hellqvist during the press conference that took place at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
The couple was later joined by the King and Queen who clearly let know to the press that they are happy with the announcement. A smiling Queen Silvia said "We have waited and waited and waited..."

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attend dinner at the House of Industry.

Yesterday evening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a dinner at the Confederation of Danish Industry in Copenhagen.
The Crown Prince Couple was given a warm welcome by the evening's hosts. Among the other guests was Minister of Development Mogens Jensen.

Tuesday was a busy day for Crown Prince Frederik, he traveled to Vejle to inaugurate the GreenTechCenter. During the ceremony, the Crown Prince gave a speech.

The South Funen rotor blade developer SSP Technology had a visit from the Crown Prince and Minister Rasmus Petersen on 24 June.

SSP Technology is based in the South Funen city and it's in charge of the development of wind turbine blades. The visit lasted well over 45 minutes, where both the Crown Prince and Minister were taken into the hallowed halls where the latest blades are developed.

It was the first time that the company received a royal visit. There have been ministers before who had visited the wing developer.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attend the Reumert Prize.

Yesterday (22 June) the Crown Prince Couple attended the Reumert Prize ceremony at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. The Reumert Prize celebrates Denmark's theatre artists.

On 20 June, Crown Princess Mary was there when children libraries' Summer contest "Summer Book 2014" was officially kicked off at noon at Roskilde Library.
When the Crown Princess arrived, she was received by both the Library Director, Mogens Vestergaard and Mayor Joy Mogensen, but also by nine year old Wilma Aobakwe Skovgaard Dybdal who had been allowed to be the flower girl. She is the daughter of Lise-Henriette Dybdal, the team leader for Team Children and Youth at Roskilde Library.

The Summer Book project is about the desire to read, and all children aged 7-14 years can participate.
Children from across Denmark are participating in Summer Book on the country's children's libraries and their joint website Pallesgavebod.dk



Crown Prince Frederik competes on triathlon.

Denmark's cool Crown Prince has done it again. With the number 272 on his stomach, he competed on the Deloitte Øresund Triathlon. Behind him lay 1900 meters of swimming in the waters of Charlottenlund Fort, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km run on Beach Road.
The Crown Prince finished on 29th place with a time of 5:02:00.
“This result is just as good [as last year's] — I’ve gotten a little bit slower, but I haven’t trained as much as I did last year. But I’m satisfied”.

The many cheers from the audience along the way made a great impression on Frederik. 
“Being supported is very important and it’s really great that so many people showed their support yesterday. And of course it’s nice when people cheer at me too”, said Frederik.

Queen Sonja opens Festspillene

Festspillene will be arranged in Nord-Norge this week for the 50th time. Her Majesty Queen Sonja opened the festival in Harstad today.
Queen Sonja opened the festival with including a poem by Nils Aslak Valkeapää in her speech. In her speech the Queen stated that "To me, arriving here - is like arriving home." Queen Sonja also talked about how much she had looked forward to the day.
For the first time in 15 years Queen Sonja has had the opportunity to attend the opening of the festival.

King Harald inspects the guard.

"Good morning, Lord King" greeted the 800 Guards in parade uniform with when HM the King and H.R.H. the Crown Prince stood ready for inspection at Huseby camp in Oslo today. The inspection of His Majesty the King's Guard is traditionally held in June each year and is characterized by precision, order and detail.
Two of the guardsmen were given special awards. The King presented the "King's watch" to the best Guards, Lance Corporal Christian Jakobsen from the 2nd farm partnership. Gardens honor for best officer went to Lieutenant Henry Hove from 5th Guards Company.

The inspection was open to the public. Many young and older had found their way to the Farm camp and saw the impressive music and drill demonstration that closed the program.
After inspection and demonstration the King and Crown Prince attendsed a reception in the Great Commission.

On 19 June, Crown Princess Mette-Marit opened a library at the Queen park's gazebo. The Crown Princess visited the pavilion, where more than 400 books that were tipped off from the Crown Princess literature train (2) to borrow for the park's guests.
During the literature train, several hundred of book tips were posted on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. These tips were from other book lovers and Crown Princess Mette-Marit who got together with some of their favorite books.
With help from the Oslo Public Library, the Queen's park gazebo was filled with books on 19 and 20 June. Each title comes with a recommendation by other readers - and everyone can bring one of them out of the park. Proust's "In Search of Lost Time" or Grim's world history is perhaps a bit long project for a park visit - but here is a golden opportunity to sniff at work. For the purpose is to inspire reading.
It's a book for everyone, says Crown Princess Mette-Marit. At the gazebo there are small and large books, easy to read books and heavier books. What they have in common is that someone else liked them so much that they would recommend them to others.

Summer Cruise in Odense.

The Regent Couple continued with their Summer Cruise and the next stop was Odense on 19 June. Summer cruises in Odense. At the entrance to Odense Fjord, the Dannebrog crossed the newly opened swing bridge Odin's Bridge. When passing, they were saluted by Odense United Shooting Society.

The royal couple arrived on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog to Odense Harbour, Eastern Wharf, at. 10:00, where they were recieved by the civil service director Lisa Haxgart that presents Mayor Anker Boye. After the welcome, the Royal Couple headed to the Odense City Hall, and were received by Mayor Anker Boye and 1st Deputy Mayor Brian Dybro.

At Odense City Hall an official reception was held in the Town Hall, The Royal Couple visited Art Brandts and inspected the exhibition "TATOO - from naval heroes to the world of art". The exhibition will include an image of King Frederik IX.

The royal couple then visited robot company Universal Robots. The company develops robot arms, which among other automate repetitive processes in industry.

The Queen visited The red Infos established where urban revitalization of Odense city center takes place. The Queen also visited the city museum Møntergården who in 2013 underwent a major renovation. During the visit, the Queen was presented with Coins farm's new exhibition building.

Meanwhile, the Prince Consort visited the Church Army shelter in East Street, which opened in 2013. During his visit, the Prince Consort talked to the practice's users and was informed about the facilities. The Prince Consort also visited the Odense Marzipan and was shown around the company's production and packaging.

Then, the royal couple visited North Atlantic House at Port of Odense. Finally, the royal couple hosteda reception for invited guests on board the Royal Yacht.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel in Iceland - Day 2.

On their last day in Iceland (and their 4th Wedding Anniversary) Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel made a series of visits including fikskebyn Husavik and the University of Akureyri with President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson and his wife Dorrit Moussaieff 
The Crown Princess Couple and the presidential couple's day began with a whale watching tour that emanated from the fishing village of Husavik in North Iceland.

After the tour, the Crown Princess Couple and the presidential couple visited the fishing village where the Prime Minister of Iceland Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson gave a lunch at the restaurant Gamli Baukur.

The Crown Princess Couple and the presidential couple then traveled to the town of Akureyri, through Námaskarð geothermal area and Godafoss waterfall.

In Námaskarð, they learned more about the geothermal activity that prevails there and boiling sulfur pits.

In Akureyri, the Crown Princess Couple and the presidential couple visit Akureyri University and heard about the university and the operations conducted there, including on the research on climate change in the Arctic.

The visit to Island ended with a dinner at Hannesarholt in Reykjavik where the Swedish Ambassador Bosse Hedberg hosted.

Danish Royals in Tivoli.

On Monday, 16 June while Crown Princess Mary and her two oldest children were at a One Direction concert, in Tivoli, while the tourists were busy with their smartphones, suddenly first the Queen and shortly after Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and the three princes Nikolai, Felix and little Henrik and appeared in prior to the premiere of The Steadfast Tin Soldier ballet. The Queen created the stage design.

Although it was not the first time that H. C. Andersen's famous fairy tale was listed as ballet, it was actually the first time that Prince Joachim and his family went to see the show.
