King Carl Gustaf Visits Halland

Today, April 1st, King Carl Gustaf arrived to Halland County and opened Herting rapids and took note of the new initiatives in food and tourism in Halland County. The King was greeted by Halland's Governor as he arrived, they then went to Mostorps Farm just outside Halmstad and welcomed by the owner Peter von Braun and Mayor Carl Fredrik Graf.

After the farm visit The King met municipal government leaders, local farmers, ecologists and agricultural professors to talk about the Hertig Project and the sustainability of the county and their agriculture. Next after lunch The King arrived at The Herting rapids to inaugerate The Hertig Project.

The Herting Project
The Herting Project will allow local fish to migrate freely and naturally instead of having to migrate though hydro turbines where there is a very high mortality rate. This will allow there to be more and healthier fish provided for Sweden.
