Crown Princess Mary in New York

HRH Crown Princess Mary as a member of the High Level Task Force on the ICPD paid an official visit to New York at the UN Women's Commission 58 meeting on 10-11th march 2014.
On Monday 10 March, The Crown Princess gave the opening speech at the public hearing, "Investing in Girls and Women: Everybody Wins" organized by Women Deliver and the Danish UN mission.

In the morning, the Crown Princess attended the official launch of UN Women's Commission 58 collection.

In the afternoon, in her capacity as patron the Crown Princess visited the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA. The photo shows the Crown Princess with Executive Director of UNFPA, Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin.

On Tuesday 11 March the Crown Princess attended an event organized by the American Haemophilia Society (National Hemophilia Foundation) and Novo Nordisk, working together to improve opportunities for people with hemophilia and bleeding disorders.

In the afternoon the Crown Princess as a member of the High Level Task Force on ICPD attended a series of meetings including a panel session on promoting girls' and women's rights.
