Today (April 25th 2014) Crown Princess Victoria visited the National Museum and was given a guided tour by Superintendent Berndt Arell through the empty building which now faces an extensive renovation.
The National Museum in Stockholm closed in 2013 for refurbishment. The government ordered the renovation and refurbishment of the museum into a fully modern museum building which can adapt to the
future of museum operations while retaining heritage values in the unique listed building museum building.
