The statue of King Christian Frederik is a gift from the government to Parliament in celebration of the Constitution's 200th anniversary. The statue is 3.5 meters tall and is designed by the sculptor Kristian Blystad.
That the Norwegians now want a statue of him, gets me to the heart, said Queen Margrethe - and therefore I will with the greatest pleasure unveil his monument.
