Princess Benedikte recieves medal and portait.

Today, Princess Benedikte recieved the Medal of the Order of the Dannebrog from the Queen in recognition of the Princess' long-standing efforts to Denmark.

Turkish State Visit to Denmark - Day 2.

On the second and last day of the Turkish State Visit to Denmark, Crown Princess Mary and the First Lady had a lunch at Frederik VIII's Palace in Amalienborg (The Crown Prince Family's home)

After the lunch, they visited Danner Women Shelter. Danner is one of several shelters where Mary Foundation has launched the backpacks to children in shelters.

Meanwhile, the President had a meeting with Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Christiansborg Palace.

Finally at night the President hosted a Dinner at the Hotel D'Angleterre for the Queen and the Royal Family. There was also a Turkish Music concert.

Turkish State Visit to Denmark - Day 1.

Busy day for the Danes! As today they recieved HE The President of Turkey and his wife, who are starting a two-day state visit to Denmark.
The morning started when they recieved the Presidential couple at Copenhagen Airport.

Then they departed from the Airport, the Regent couple and the Presidential couple were scorted by the regiments horse squadron to Christian IX's Palace in Amalienborg for the official welcome.

After the welcome, Crown Prince Frederik and the President visited the Comission of Danish Industries, the House of Green and Moller Maersk.

To end the day, Queen Margrethe held a Dinner at Amalienborg. Both heads of state gave speeches.

Princess Benedikte in Malaysia.

HRH Princess Benedikte is visiting Malaysia from the 11th-16th January 2014 Malaysia in her capacity as patron of the Olave Baden-Powell Society. During her visit the Princess participated on the company's board meeting in Kuala Lumpur. In addition, the visit has a number of activities related to the Princess's patronage in the fight against diabetes.

Program of Princess Benedikte's Visit to Malaysia

HRH Princess Benedikte will visit Malaysia in her capacity as patron of the Olave Baden -Powell Society from the 11th - 16th January 2014.

Princess Benedikte will attend as patron of The Olave Baden -Powell Society the extraordinary general meeting held in Kuala Lumpur. The Olave Baden -Powell Society endorses Association World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, a global voluntary association of girl scouts.

The program will also include a number of activities related to the Princess's patronage in the fight against diabetes. Malaysia is currently experiencing an increasing prevalence of diabetes.
