Queen Margrethe unveils statue in Norway.

Queen Margrethe unveiled a statue of King Christian Frederik at Eidsvoll space in front of the Parliament on 19 May. Both the Danish Regent Couple and the Norwegian Regent Couple attended the ceremony.

The statue of King Christian Frederik is a gift from the government to Parliament in celebration of the Constitution's 200th anniversary. The statue is 3.5 meters tall and is designed by the sculptor Kristian Blystad.
That the Norwegians now want a statue of him, gets me to the heart, said Queen Margrethe - and therefore I will with the greatest pleasure unveil his monument.

Audiences at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.

King Carl Gustaf received four newly appointed foreign ambassadors at the Royal Palace during formal audiences. 
The newly appointed ambassadors are: Saudi Ambassador lbrahim bin Saad Al-Ibrahim, Macedonia's ambassador Aleksandra Nakeva Ruzin, Seychelles' Ambassador Marie-Pierre Lloyd and Burundian Ambassador Pascal Ruhomvyumworo.

At the ceremony, the ambassadors present their letters of credence, a document from their head of state to the King, who then grants them formal right to work in Sweden

Formal audiences follow a traditional ceremony. The ambassador is collected in one of the Royal Mews coaches at the State Department and transported to the Royal Palace. The King and the ambassador hold a private conversation for about 15 minutes.

Prince Carl Philip visits the Dyslexia Association.

On Monday, May 19, Prince Carl Philip visited the Dyslexia Association which has its office in Sundbyberg. The Prince was welcomed by Federal Chairman Bengt-Erik Johansson, who talked about the union's activities. With the call was also Secretary Sven Eklöf, Communications Inger Rålenius, chairman of the Stockholm district Ebrahim Tabrizi and Catrine Folcker from the Federal Executive. 
To finish his visit Prince Carl Philip met intermediate student Stephani Melander who showed and told him about the tools she has been given.

About 4-5% of the Swedish population suffers from Dyslexia, including Prince Carl Philip.

Constitution Celebration in Eidsvoll

Today the Norwegian Constitution turns 200 years! The main celebration of this anniversary year took place in Eidsvoll. Both King Harald and Queen Sonja and the Crown Prince Couple attended - along with both the Danish Regent couple and the Swedish Royal couple. 
The Parliament's gala performance from the park outside Eidsvollbygningen collects the celebration of the Constitution, the Council and 200 years of peace in the region. Artists from all Scandinavian countries contributed.

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, King Harald and Queen Sonja and Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit arrived Eidsvoll Building, at 19:00. They were welcomed by the President of the Storting Olemic Thommessen - and "Prince Christian Frederik" and his two adjutants. The royal procession was accompanied to the Royal stands and gala performance in could begin.

Norwegian National Day 2014.

200 years ago, Norway got a Constitution and today the whole country is celebrating it along with National Day. Per tradition, the Royal Family greeted the people who gathered at the parade in Oslo from the palace balcony. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Prince Sverre Magnus and Marius Borg Høiby greeted first the children at the traditional Children's Parade in Asker, outside Skaugum.

King Haakon and Queen Maud instituted the custom of greeting the parade in Oslo from the palace balcony in 1906. The practice has been upheld ever since. The only exceptions were in 1910 when Queen Maud's father, the English King Edward VII was buried, and during the war years 1940-1944.

Tonight will be a big celebration of the Constitution Bicentennial at Eidsvoll, where it all started. King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, Prince Henrik of Denmark, King XVI Carl Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia of Sweden will be present.

Princess Estelle Visits Linköping Castle and Inaugurates Fairytale Trail at Tåkern.

The visit began at Linköping castle where Governor Elisabeth Nilsson welcomed the Royal visitors to the county. In Linköping Castle there is now the Duchess Estelle salon that was shown by royal architect Mats Fredriksson and museum director Mark Lindberg. The salon is located next to the dining room where lunch was served.

In the afternoon, the Crown Princess Couple and Princess Estelle visited Tåkern, one of northern Europe’s most important bird lakes. The Crown Princess Couple and Princess Estelle opened the fairytale path that Princess Estelle got as Christening gift in May 2012. The trail is 700 meters long and along the trail there are ten stations with figures and experiences for all children. Along the trail are colorful illustrations that tell a story, connecting the stations and for the visitor forward along the path.

Prince Joachim, Prince Felix and Prince Henrik in Århus.

Prince Joachim took his two youngest sons - five-year old Prince Henrik and 11-year-old Prince Felix at the soapbox car race that was held in Århus. Prince Joachim and Prince Felix participated on the Classic Race.
Prince Felix sat behind the wheel of the green soapbox No. 52 while his father and his friend, Oscar Davidsen Siesbye acted as the engine of the car.

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted this year's second official dinner, "Sweden Dinner", at the Royal Palace. The royal family wants through Sweden dinner to be aware of people who have made significant contributions locally, regionally or nationally.

Invited guests were representatives of culture, business, education, sports and community organizations from Sweden's 21 counties as well as all provincial governors. The approximately 200 guests were received and welcomed by the King and Queen, Crown Princess Couple and Prince Carl Philip at the Lovisa Ulrika room in the dining room.

King Harald and Queen Sonja hold reception for Norwegian mayors.

On the occasion of the Constitution's Bicentennial, King Harald and Queen Sonja held a reception for the country's mayors at the Royal Palace on 15th May. Both the King and Queen, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner, were present.

- We thought it was time to invite you on a return visit - since we've been fortunate enough to visit many of you on your hometowns, said King Harald on his welcome address to the mayors.
- For us, the Royal Family you are valuable local guides that give us insight and understanding of life in all parts of Norway. You show us the finest you have, but also tells us about life and reality as it is. That we greatly appreciate. We are a lucky country, a fortunate people. We'll be extra thankful when this year celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Constitution.

On the occasion of Constitution Bicentennial, all the country's mayors have been invited to Oslo on 14 and 15 May. The reception at the Palace rounded off the visit, which included both visits to Parliament and a gala dinner at the Oslo City Hall.

The King inaugurates the Sollidenvägen Exhibition.

King Carl Gustaf opened the exhibition In the royal kitchen - an expose by a hundred years at Solliden Castle.
This year's exhibition includes themes such as food with royal names and royal specialties. The exhibition consists among other things of photographs, a set table and kitchenware such as copper objects.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attend seminar on child and adolescent health.

On Thursday, 15 May, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended a seminar on children and young people organized by the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation and was held at the Royal Palace. Creating conditions for good physical health in children is one of the Foundation's focus areas.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in Poland - Day 3.

On their last day in Poland (and their 10th Wedding Anniversary) the Crown Prince Couple were at Stettins. The day started for them when, along with the Minister of Environment Kirsten Brosbøl, they participated in the breakfast meeting with representatives of the Szczecin city and region. Crown Prince Frederik and the Minister of the Environment were greeted by Stettins mayor.
After the breakfast, the Couple had separate engagements. Crown Prince Frederik and the Minister of Environment Kirsten Brosbøl attended a conference on wind energy and  a seminar on waste management.

Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary visited KK Electronics. During her visit, the Crown Princess inspected a presentation of furniture made ​​from recycled materials from the production halls in KK Electronics . In addition, the Crown Princess was in charge of opening a new test chamber and mer with company employees.

After that, the Crown Princess visited the oncology department at a children's hospital. The Crown Princess was welcomed by hospital management as well as children.

Then, the Crown Princess visited the Greenland exhibition. During her visit, the Crown Princess was given a tour of the exhibition.
To mark the end of their visit, the Crown Prince Couple participated along with the Minister of Environment Kirsten Brosbøl in a closing reception on board the frigate Niels Juel. The Crown Prince made a speech and both Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were presented with a cake to celebrate their 10th Wedding Anniversary.

Norwegian Royals at Parliament.

The Royal Family was present today at the meeting in the Parliament to celebrate the constitution's anniversary, and it was the first time Princess Ingrid Alexandra took made an official visit to the White Room.

On the constitution anniversary is a tradition that the Parliament holds a special anniversary meeting in the days before 17 May. This was done both in 1964 and in 1989. The main goal is to create a solemn celebration of the anniversary in the Parliament.

Both the King and Queen, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner attended all at the anniversary meeting of the parliamentary hall today. For Princess Ingrid Alexandra's part, it was her first official visit to the White Room.
For the Parliament, it is gratifying that Princess Ingrid Alexandra, who represents the future, attended with the rest of the Royal Family the meeting today where we all celebrated the Constitution - not least because young people are the main target group for the anniversary, said Parliament President Olemic Thommessen.
On Wednesday night, the King and Queen and Crown Prince Couple attended the gala dinner on the occasion of the Constitution Bicentennial at the Oslo City Hall. They were welcomed by Mayor Fabian Stang.

Princess Märtha-Louise visits KFUK

On 13 May, Princess Märtha-Louise visited KFUK house in London. Under the name "Norwegian wines Childers Christian Association" Magda Hornemann started in 1908 what we know today as the KFUK. 
Princess Märtha Louise was welcomed by general manager Trish Øiestad and the young manager, Maren Andrea Aasulvsen. In what is being called penstuen entertained Thomas Ottersen and Oda Volt Erstad with singing and piano.

KFUK is operated by the Norwegian government in London, and has ten employees. Six of the employees are young people who participate in a one-year postgraduate management training.The two young leaders Camilla Collington-Hanna and Hanne Etne City showed to the Princess the office where they work, the Tourism room and staff room. The princess also visited the student room of Anne Marte Ring, who is studying at Hult business school.

Israeli State Visit to Norway.

On 12 May, the Norwegian Royals recieved H.E President Shimon Peres at the Palace Square in Oslo as he arrived for a two-day state visit.

The welcoming ceremony began at 10:00 am, when President Peres arrived at the Palace Square accompanied by Crown Prince Haakon. The Israeli and the Norwegian national anthem were played before President Shimon Peres inspected the Guard of Honour. King Harald presented the representatives of the official Norway to the president, until they went together into the castle's main gate.
The Official photos and the gift exchange took place inside the Palace. The photos were taken per tradition in the Bird Room, where both the Crown Prince, Crown Princess Princess and Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner, participated. President Peres met the press before he and the King traveled together to Akershus Fortress.

At Akershus Brigadier John Einar HYNA welcomed the King and the President. It is tradition that the heads of state on their State visit to Norway lay a wreath at the National Monument in memory of those who fell during World War 2.

After the solemn ceremony King Harald and President Peres headed back to the Royal Palace, where the King hosted an official luncheon on the occasion of the state visit.

UN Global Forum on Migration and Development.

Yesterday (May 14th) Crown Princess Victoria participated on the UN Global Forum on Migration and Development in Stockholm. Initially, the Crown Princess welcomed UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The meeting was also attended by, among others, Peter Sutherland
The Swedish Minister of Migration Tobias Billström and Minister of Cooperation Hillevi Engström welcomed over 900 participants. Subsequently the Crown Princess gave the inaugural speech. 
The Crown Princess talked about the importance of building a society where everyone can contribute and feel included and respected. Crown Princess Victoria also addressed how much of Sweden's prosperity has been built up over the centuries by migration, from the Walloons in the 1600's to all those who moved to Sweden, starting from the 1950s onwards from Finland and southern Europe and helped build the Swedish industry.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in Poland - Day 2.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary continued with their very tight agenda in Poland, on 13 May. The Crown Prince started the day with a breakfast meeting marking the 20th anniversary of Lantmännen Unibake. After the meeting, he and Minister of Environment Kirsten Brosbøl participated on the debate of the efficient use of energy and smart cities at the Polish Ministry of Economy. The Crown Prince conducted the begining of the debate.
Keeping up with the schedule, Crown Prince Frederik then joined the Minister of Health, Nick Hækkerup on a debate about Diabetes at the Danish Embassy. Then, he headed to the Museum of History of Polish Jews. During the visit, the Crown Prince was given a tour of the museum and of the "Warsaw, Warsze" exhibition.

The Crown Prince then visited along with the Minister of Environment, Kirsten Brosbøl the Siekierki CHP plant where they were showed how the plant works.

Finally, he attended a water seminar about smart solutions for water supply in Warsaw waterworks along with Minister of Environment Kirsten Brosbøl.
For Crown Princess Mary the day started when she participated along with the First Lady at the seminar on lifestyle diseases and then visited the Ospitalet Samodzielny Publiczny Centralny Szpital Kliniczny . During her visit, the Crown Princess was shown the hospital and met diabetic patients. She also visited a school for children with autism.

After that, Crown Princess Mary visited a children's film festival. The Crown Princess was given a tour and met children taking part in LEGO and New Horizons Foundations workshop .

Then, she headed to visit an Ole Lynggaard store in Warsaw, later she participated along with Health Minister Nick Hækkerup on a roundtable on Danish experience in cooperation between the public and private healthcare facilities. The Crown Princess made a speech. Crown Princess Mary also participaed on a conference about improving the quality of life.
After the conference, The Crown Princess participated in the opening of an Audio Design Exhibition in the Danish ambassador's residence. During the opening, the Crown Princess was shown the exhibition of Bang & Olufsen and Dynaudio. The Crown Princess also visited Pandora and ECCO stores.
The couple then joined and participated with Minister Environment Kirsten Brosbøl in an energy seminar.
Finally, the Crown Prince Couple participated in the ambassador's reception. The Crown Prince gave a speech and was responsible for the presentation of the Danish Export Association's Diploma and HRH Prince Henrik's Medal of Honour .
The Crown Prince Couple and the Danish delegation travelled from Warsaw to Szczecin.
