King Harald and Queen Sonja attended the opening of this year's exhibition at the Queen Josephine Gallery on 19 May. "A graphic suite to HM Queen Sonja scholarship" includes 65 new works by Olav Christopher Jenssen.
The Queen Josephine Gallery opened last year, and the exhibit showed then the works of Queen Sonja, Kjell Nupen, Ørnulf Opdahl and Tiina Kivinen. The gallery is part of the public offer by Oscarshall. During the presentation of the exhibition in the evening, the Queen was shown one ceramic pot from its own production. The jar will be a permanent decoration on the lawn outside the Queen Josephine Gallery.
