Princess Marie christens Tulip in Gavnø.

Princess Marie was responsible on Wednesday, May 7 of the naming of the new tulip, which was named "Princess Marie".

Princess Marie attended the International christening of the tulip, which includes the sprinkling of the tulip with champagne, readings of the christening ritual and signing the christening documents issued by Holland's Royal Bulb Producers Association.

The "Princess Marie" tulip is a single late tulip of about 45 cm in height. The tulip is shaped in a clean white color combined with a cherry edge.
