Crown Prince Haakon presents the Holberg Prize.

Expert on Islamic history and religious thinking, Michael Cook, received the scientific award at a ceremony in Haakon's Hall in Bergen today. Prior to the ceremony, Crown Prince Haakon received Laureate audience in Bergen Fortress.

The Holberg Prize is awarded annually for outstanding scholarly work in the humanities , social sciences, law and theology. The price is 4.5 million kroner.
